Athletic Manager Application

Purpose:

An athletic manager provides an opportunity for undergraduate students to work with our athletic programs by offering positions to serve as an athletic manager for various HCU sports. Not only will these athletic manager positions help to support our student athletes, they will also provide additional financial resources. Athletic managers receive a room and board grant (up to a maximum of $7,000 per year) in addition to eligible merit award.

Eligibility Requirements for the HCU Athletic Manager Position:

Must be enrolled full time
Must be an undergraduate student
Submit a valid FAFSA every year
Previous managerial experience is encouraged, but not required
Priority consideration will be given to students with demonstrated need who may not be able to live on campus or attend HCU otherwise

Requirements to Maintain Scholarship:

Live in an HCU Residential Hall
Maintain full-time student status
Maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
Must work an average of 20 hours per week for the athletic department
Complete all required responsibilities as assigned

Scholarship Application Deadline:

August 12

Accepting this offered award could possibly have an impact on other financial assistance (e.g. Texas Equalization Grant)
Room and board grant is applied to fall and spring semester only
Work expectations vary by sport, but may require working extended hours, both before and after practice, and weekends
